An important part of my role at Fast Fit as I see, it is the procurement of car parts. I have to balance the often conflicting constraints of quality, speed of delivery and of course price. We had a Saab 93 in recently for an MOT test and service. However the exhaust system was leaking and this caused an emissions test failure. (A vehicle’s emissions are tested as part of the MOT.)
Somehow I ended up ordering replacement parts from two different suppliers. Can you see which is the better quality part in the picture above? By the way in this case the prices were pretty much identical too.
